In February 2021 the Myanmar military overthrew the democratically elected leaders of its country and installed a ruling junta. Following the coup d’état, the junta turned its weapons of war against its own people, targeting ethnic minorities, bombing schools, hospitals and displacement camps, burning villages, forcing over 2.5 million from their homes, committing widespread acts of terrorism, torture and mass executions.

The United Nations declared A Perpetual Human Rights Crisis.

The People of Myanmar, a beautifully diverse country of 135 ethnic groups, chose to stand together in courageous opposition to their oppressor. They chose to fight for freedom.

At the Myanmar Freedom Project, we stand with the People and Freedom Fighters of Myanmar. We are engaging the collective efforts of international government, corporate and nonprofit sectors by solving security and logistics challenges, enabling humanitarian relief efforts to reach every corner of the country, bringing hope to a nation in a desperate fight for its future.
